A novel by Scott Hammer in 7 parts:
In 1976, Tom Cartwright’s band recorded Clovers, a private press album whose error in its vinyl pressing made it infamous among locals in Austin, Texas. Before they could gain any popularity, the band broke up following a tragic accident that left Tom broken and without direction.
It’s 2006 now, and all copies of Clovers seem to have disappeared. When a label owner discovers the record's lore, he persuades Tom to join him in a search for the lost album.
As his past and present unfold, we learn the truth about Tom's trouble with music: while others revere the album’s story, he struggles to accept its devastating associations. If he finds Clovers, he risks facing what he might uncover in himself.
